How much do you know about the connection methods of plastic-coated steel pipes

First, there are several ways to connect plastic-coated steel pipes.
1. Threaded connection: When steel pipes are connected using threaded connections, the length, tooth shape, tooth height, and other parameters of the screws must be strictly ensured to meet the relevant standard process requirements. Before using threaded connections, suitable fillers should be added to the outer threads or pipe fittings to play a sealing and protective role. Threaded connections are suitable for low-pressure small pipe diameters, usually below 0.1MPa, pipe diameters below DN100, and interfaces are prone to corrosion and leakage.
2. Groove connection: The groove connection method is usually used for plastic-coated steel pipe connections. The connection is flexible and the operation is simple, and it will not damage the inner wall structure. Before the base pipe is plastic-coated, the two ends of the base pipe will be grooved according to the customer's order requirements, and then the base pipe will be plastic-coated. The groove pressing standard needs to comply with CECS151:2003 China Engineering Construction Standardization Association standard.
3. Flange connection: The main features are easy disassembly, high strength, and good sealing performance. When installing the flange, the two flanges must be kept parallel, and the sealing surface of the flange must not be damaged and must be clean. The gasket used for the flange should be selected according to the design regulations. During the production process, the flange and the base pipe need to be welded first, then the base pipe is plastic coated, and then the flange pipe is plastic coated.
4. Socket connection: Socket connection, also known as flared connection. The connection method of flared connection can ensure the sealing between the connector and the steel pipe, and fundamentally solve the problem of water seepage in the pipe joint. Moreover, the construction operation is simple and convenient, and it is used many times in pipeline threading.
5. Bimetallic welding: also known as stainless steel liner welding connection. Special welding prefabrication technology is used at 10cm at both ends of the steel pipe, which effectively combines carbon steel and stainless steel, avoiding damage to the coating during welding construction. At present, it is the best connection solution for plastic-coated steel pipes, especially direct-buried plastic-coated steel pipes.

Second, how to connect internal and external plastic-coated composite steel pipes
1. First weld the flanges at both ends of the steel pipe. The flanges should be welded firmly and then coated with polyethylene. During installation, add a sealing gasket between the two flanges of the coated composite pipe and tighten it with bolts.
2. To ensure that the pipeline will not move axially under pressure or water hammer, it should be fixed, such as with piers, brackets, hangers, etc. When fixing, it should be considered that the pipeline will not shift when swinging and bending under pressure occur. For vertically installed pipelines, the distance between the two fixing points should not be greater than 2m. When installed horizontally, the distance between the two fixing points is: when the nominal outer diameter of the coated composite pipe is less than 76mm, it should not be greater than 750mm; when the nominal outer diameter of the coated composite pipe is not less than 76mm, it should not be greater than 1100mm.
3. When fixed by cement or brick piers, the pipeline can be built in the pier. When fixed by brackets, brackets, and hangers, it is necessary to set U-shaped or other types of pipe clamps on the pipe or pipe fittings. Since the surface of the pipe is smooth, to prevent the pipe clamp from sliding, a rubber pad should be placed between the surface of the pipe and the pipe clamp, and the pipe clamp should be tightened with screws to prevent it from sliding, and then the pipe clamp should be firmly connected to the pier, bracket, bracket, etc. through bolts, etc.
4. It can also be installed according to the user's drawings. If the construction drawings cannot be provided, we can send people to the site for measurement, design, and make special pipe connectors for users to connect with mining pipes or connect with seamless steel pipes through quick pipe clamps.
5. When installing the pipeline, the warning line on the pipe must be kept facing outward to form a line as a safety warning.
