Specific Construction Methods for Corrosion Protection of Buried Firefighting Steel Pipes in Industrial Projects

According to current installation techniques for buried firefighting steel pipes, three construction methods are generally required: ordinary grade epoxy coal tar pitch with a thickness greater than 0.3mm, reinforced grade with a thickness greater than 0.6mm, and extra-reinforced grade with a thickness greater than 0.8mm. The specific construction methods for corrosion protection of buried firefighting steel pipes are as follows, depending on the site environment:
1. Ordinary grade firefighting steel pipe corrosion protection: Apply one coat of primer, then three coats of topcoat.
2. Reinforced grade firefighting steel pipe corrosion protection: Apply one coat of primer, then one coat of topcoat, then add fiberglass cloth, then apply another coat of topcoat, wrap with another layer of fiberglass cloth, and finally apply two more coats of topcoat.
3. Extra-reinforced grade firefighting steel pipe corrosion protection: Apply one coat of primer, then one coat of topcoat, wrap with another layer of fiberglass cloth, then apply another coat of topcoat, wrap with another layer of fiberglass cloth, then apply another coat of topcoat, wrap with another layer of fiberglass cloth, and finally apply two more coats of topcoat.

How should the construction of buried firefighting steel pipes in industrial projects be carried out?
1. Water supply pipelines should use plastic pipes, composite pipes, galvanized steel pipes, or cast iron water supply pipes. Pipe materials and fittings should be compatible with those from the same manufacturer.
2. The installation requirements for outdoor water supply pipelines, whether overhead or trench-laid, should follow the same requirements as indoor water supply pipelines. Exposed overhead plastic pipes must be insulated and protected from sunlight.
3. The installation locations of fire pump connections and outdoor fire hydrants must meet design requirements.
4. Water supply pipelines must be laid within the frost line. In areas where frost is expected, insulation and moisture-proof measures should be taken. In frost-prone areas, the top of the pipe should be covered with soil at a depth of at least 500mm, and at least 700mm where the pipe crosses roads.
