High-frequency straight seam welded steel pipe production

Date:2024-01-17

Overview of the development of high-frequency straight seam welded pipe production, high-frequency straight seam welded pipe production technology and workshop layout, typical high-frequency straight seam welded pipe units and series, strip preparation equipment, continuous plowing unit, L-shaped design of forming rollers, High-frequency welding process and equipment, fly cutting machines, steel pipe finishing equipment, quality inspection technology and equipment, heat treatment and surface coating, automation of high-frequency straight seam welded pipe production, new processes and new technologies ASTM480 stainless steel standard surface condition.

High-frequency straight seam welded pipe production will send test samples of X52 line pipe with a diameter of 1016 mm and a thickness of 21 mm and X70 and X80 line pipes with a diameter of 1219 mm and a thickness of 22 mm to the pipe material institute for performance evaluation. After expert review and laboratory inspection, Baosteel's large-diameter straight seam welded pipe production site meets national standards, its product technical performance meets national pressure pipeline component manufacturing requirements, and its physical performance meets the product standards of the Second West-East Gas Pipeline. This shows that Baosteel can mass produce high-grade, large-diameter straight seam welded pipes.

Large-diameter straight seam welded pipes are made from a single medium-thick plate as raw material and are produced by double-sided submerged arc welding. The product specifications range is wide, and the welding toughness, plasticity, uniformity, and compactness are good. It has the characteristics of large pipe diameter, and pipe wall thickness, With the advantages of high-pressure resistance, low-temperature resistance, and strong corrosion resistance, it is mainly used in the construction of high strength, high toughness, high quality, and long-distance oil and gas pipelines. Since my country became a net oil importer in 1993, it has built a total of 25,000 kilometers of high-pressure crude oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines, and refined oil pipelines, and 140,000 kilometers of urban gas pipelines. According to the assessment of the International Energy Agency, my country's oil imports will increase from 100 million tons in 2005 to 250 million tons within 15 years. By then, the demand for domestic long-distance transmission pipelines will reach 100,000 kilometers, and the demand for urban gas pipelines will reach 300,000 kilometers. Especially since the country implemented the "West-East Gas Transmission" project, the national annual demand for welded pipes has soared to 11.5 million tons. Since then, the national annual demand for welded pipes has increased at an average annual rate of 17%, of which the demand for straight seam welded pipes accounts for about three percent. In 2006, the national demand for straight seam welded pipes was approximately 4.5 million tons, and domestic output was 2.5 million tons during the same period. There is a large market gap. According to predictions by experts from the Steel Pipe Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association, the consumption of welded pipes will continue to maintain a large growth momentum in the next 20 years, and the market prospects are good.

Main content

NO.1

Hot rolling, annealing, descaling

After hot rolling to the specified thickness, it is then annealed to remove the scale. Usually used in industrial applications, which are heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and do not require high surface smoothness.

NO.2D

Cold rolled, matt surface

Cold rolling to the specified thickness, annealing, and descaling. This surface is obtained after descaling or pickling operations or by slight cold rolling through work rolls with dull surfaces. This surface plays a beneficial role in the adhesion of lubricating oil on the material's surface during deep drawing. This material is usually used for deep drawing. Generally, the product needs to be polished after deep drawing.

NO.2B

Cold rolled, bright surface

Usually produced the same as 2D, but finally finished by surface polished rollers. This is what is commonly called a cold rolled surface, which is suitable for all purposes except deep drawing (difficult). This surface is easier to polish than NO.1 and NO.2D

Bright annealed surface

Cold rolled bright surface after annealing in controlled atmosphere furnace

Annealing is performed in a controlled atmosphere furnace to prevent oxide scale formation. The atmosphere in the furnace is usually hydrogen or a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen (sometimes ammonia is used)

NO.3

Intermediate grinding surface, single or double-sided treatment

Use as final surface or surface in intermediate grinding state

NO.4

Ordinary grinding surface, single or double sided

It is widely used in kitchen equipment, store counters, milk-making equipment, etc. It starts with coarser grit for grinding and finally uses about 120~150 grit.

NO.6

Matte smooth surface, TAMPIO brushed surface, single or double-sided treatment

The light reflectivity is lower than the NO.4 surface. Use a medium containing a certain amount of oil and abrasive mixture to treat the NO.4 surface. It is usually used for construction and decoration purposes that do not require high brightness.

NO.7

High brightness surface

Highly reflective and polished to the final surface, mainly used in architectural and decorative applications

NO.8

Mirror surface

Usually, the highest reflective surface can be produced, using the smallest sand grains for surface polishing, this kind of surface is mostly used in pressure plates small mirrors, etc.

TR surface

Various regulations require surface obtained by cold working

Cold processing of products after annealing and descaling or bright annealing, the mechanical properties obtained are much higher than the material properties in the annealed state. The difference in surface depends on the processing amount and the alloy composition of the material
