Manufacturing process of epoxy resin powder coated steel pipe

1. Preparation of steel pipe: The steel pipe material used for epoxy resin coated steel pipe is usually carbon steel or low alloy steel pipe. This step usually includes rust removal, shot blasting, and anti-corrosion treatment. 3. Epoxy resin coating: Epoxy resin coating should be applied on the surface treated steel pipe. The first step is to apply primer, which is mainly used to enhance the adhesion and anti-corrosion performance of the coating. The primer is usually a thinner coating to increase adhesion to the surface of the steel pipe. Then the main paint is applied. The main paint has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, which can effectively protect the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe.

4. Enter the baking and curing stage: The steel pipe after coating with epoxy resin needs to be baked and cured to make the coating firmer and durable. This stage often uses a high-temperature oven to control the temperature and time of baking. Through thermal curing, the epoxy resin will gradually react chemically to form a hard, smooth, and corrosion-resistant plastic-coated steel pipe.

5. Appearance inspection and quality inspection of epoxy resin powder-coated steel pipe: The manufactured epoxy resin-coated steel pipe is inspected for appearance, including checking the surface finish of the steel pipe, coating thickness, and coating integrity.
