What is a pipe fitting?

the pipe fittings are pipe assemblies that help to change the direction of flow, such as elbows and tees. change the size of the pipe, such as reducer, reducer, etc. connect different components (such as couplings) and stop the flow (such as caps).

you can see the chart above listing the most widely used standard fittings. these standard fittings are either forging or wrought. only seamless pipes are used to produce wrought fittings.  large diameter welded fittings are made of steel.
